TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY

A Doctor-Patient Partnership

At Psychiatry Group Hawaii Ltd., we view the doctor-patient relationship as a therapeutic partnership based on mutual trust, respect, understanding and communication. Patients take an active role in their treatment, where doctor and patient work together to develop a treatment plan that both meets patient's needs and goals, and is also consistent with the doctor's  treatment philosophy and standard of care.

Through developing better self-awareness and self-acceptance, and in utilizing healthier coping skills, our hope is that patients who engage in therapy (with or without the support of medications) are empowered to live their lives freely and to the fullest -- to become their own best advocates for their health and in their lives as a whole.
